Ambassador Bitter visited Thaen Khaen School and Park Chim School in Luang Prabang where she spent time with elementary school students who receive nutritious meals through the U.S. Government’s McGovern-Dole Food for Education Program implemented by @WFP. The United States has contributed nearly $100 million over 10 years for school meal programs in Laos. “By supporting programs that keep children in school and keep them focused on learning, we are investing in the long-term economic and social development of Laos,” said U.S. Ambassador Bitter.
